Every number you type into the calculator on the home page is processed entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. None of it — your age, balances, contributions, or spending — is ever sent to a server, stored in a database, or seen by anyone running this site. The only thing that changes is the page's own URL, which is updated to encode your inputs so you can copy and share a link to a specific scenario if you choose to.
The Long Coast doesn't use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and it doesn't set cookies. Nothing about your visit is collected or stored by this site.
Like every website, these pages are delivered by a hosting provider (Render, served through Cloudflare's network), which processes standard request information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also requests them from Google. Neither one ever sees the numbers you type into the calculator.
A "Buy Me a Coffee" button may be added so visitors can support the site. It would be a plain link, and anything you choose to share on Buy Me a Coffee is handled under its own privacy policy. Ads may also be added later to help cover hosting costs. If they are, the advertising provider (for example, Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve ads, and this page will be updated before that happens. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings.
